7 DAYS - Asmat Expedition Tour

Day 01. Jayapura
Arrive at Sentani Airport, meeting services and transfer to the hotel for overnight.

Day 02. Jayapura - Wamena
Breakfast early in the morning at hotel the transfer to Sentani Airport for fly by MZ 7504 (07.15) to Wamena. Arrive at Wamena, transfer to Baliem Pilemo Hotel and tour visited : Local market, Suspension brigde, Museum at Wesaput and lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon tour by car visited: Dani Villages in Jiwika including to photographs the old mummy in Sumpaima village. Late afternoon return to Wamena for dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 03. Wamena - Senggo - Waganu
After breakfast at hotel, transfer to airport for fly by chartered small aircraft of missonary to Senggo wuthin 1 hour. arrive at Senggo then onboard motorized canoe for your 3 days adventure in Asmat area. Arrive at Waganu village in the afternoon, walk into the village and explore the Asmat live in the tidal swamps area. Lunch provide on motorized canoe. Dinner and overnight at Teachers Houses or at School.

Day 04. Waganu - Atsy - Ambisu
From Waganu, continue your adventure down to atsy on Betsj river and visit the Asmat longhouse or Jew. Most of Asmat best carvers are coming from this village, their arts and available for selling. Lunch will be serve in the village. Afternoon continue down river to Ambisu village. Travelling on river to Ambisu in the afternoon is the best time to see the wild life along the river banks. You will overnight and dinner at school in Ambisu.

Day 05. Ambisu - Biwar Laut - Agats
After breakfast, walk to the Jew or Longhouse and enjoy the Asmat cultural dance where the Asmaters put their best face on and singing in the rhythm of the drums. After learned the Asmat ritual dance proceed down river to Biwar Laut Village at the coast. Lunch serve on Motorized canoe. Arrive at Biwar Laut and observe the village surrounding. The Famous MBIS or Asmat totem poles are make by best carvers from this village. Visited the Jew or Longhouse then continue to Agats through Arafuru sea within 3 hours. Arrive at Agats, and visit Asmat museum. Dinner and overnightat Asmat Inn.

Day 06. Agats - Timika
Breakfast early in the morning then on board speed boat to Timika, travel out through Arafuru sea stop at one of the islands for lunch and within 6 hours you will arrive at Mapuru Jaya up river. From Mapuru Jaya you will drive within 1 hour to Timika for your dinner and overnight at Serayu Hotel.

Day 07. Timika - Departure
After breakfast at hotel, you will be transfer to Timika airport for departure to your next destination.
